In this black and white, fragmented work Kuper creates an image of unknown location and time. The extended process of manipulation involved in the work results in the evaporation of the figures and objects into an almost mental image. Its sole connection is the human factor, ever remaining anonymous. This work is a continuation of the artist's exploration of the photographic medium, constantly probing questions of time, place, memory, and death. A continual, almost addictive, search results for the coherent, sustainable, understandable image, concomitant with the enduring attempt to escape from it; from its immediate meanings, to hidden, undefined worlds, fiercely captivating in their emotional volume.
