Roi Kuper
The works of the renowned Israeli photographer Roi Kuper, born in 1956, are featured in the most prominent collections, such as the Tate Modern, London, the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, as well as private collections. Kuper has been working since the mid 1980ís in the photographic medium, philosophically exploring and investigating its nature both in black and white, and in color. Kuper is a prominent teacher at the Bezalel Academy of Art, Jerusalem, and the former head of department of photography at the Camera Obscura School of Art, Tel Aviv. Throughout the years he has exhibited in many solo and group shows in the most esteemed locations. Among them, the Tate Modern, London, Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin, Guangdong Museum of Art, China and the Jewish Museums of Vienna and San Francisco.
