Gilad Efrat
Gilad Efrat received his B.F.A. from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem in 1995. He earned his M.F.A in 2003 while studying at The Hebrew University and the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. In 2004, he became the Core Artist-in-Residence at The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas. He has also served as an active lecturer in various fine arts and fashion design departments in institutions such as the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (Israel), Shenkar College (Israel), and Rice University (Texas). His first solo exhibition was in 1997, at The Hakibbutz gallery in Tel Aviv. Since then he has participated in numerous group and solo shows at museums and galleries in Italy, Germany, Israel, Denmark, Scotland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Austria, New York, and Texas. In 2008 he exhibited in solo exhibitions, "Common Place", at the Oredaria Gallery, Rome, Italy, and "Common Space", at the Inman Gallery, Houston, Texas.
