Tudor Bratu
Tudor Bratu, born 1977, Bucuresti (RO), lives and works in the Netherlands. In his photographs Bratu often travels the world researching the traces and footprints of men. A former student of Philosophy and Art History at the University of Amsterdam, Bratu is a graduate in Photography of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam. Bratu's works are part of a prestigious, world-wide collection, such as the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten and FOAM/Virtueel-Museum in Amsterdam, the Centre Pompidou, Bibliotheque Kandinsky, Paris, and private collections. Bratu has exhibited vastly, in both solo and group shows. He exhibited in a solo show at The Logement, Antwerp, Belgium, the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, the Netherlands, Fries Museum, Leeuwarden, NL, PSWAR, Amsterdam, NL, De Vishal Foundation, Haarlem, NL, Ist Bucharest Biennial, Bucharest, Romania, and more. Among other places, he exhibited in group shows at Montevideo/ TimeBasedArts, the Photography Museum, and WTC in Amsterdam. This year Bratu will participate in the Dutch Urban Art & Culture Festival, Moscow, Russia.
