This work, an oil painting, handmade in halftone as part of the "Paradise-Inversion" series, explores conceptual and media reductionism as reflected in the painting style. The extremely traditional, canonic, almost banal motifs are represented as primitive halftone reproductions. The chosen subject matter, highly reminiscent of the old masters, provokes questions and debate concerning the concept of originality. As suggested in the represented theme, The Fall from Grace; Adam and Eve's shameful banishment from heaven; a hopeful inversion of the soured new world processes such as cloning and virtual reality, takes us a full circle into the now unreachable past.
