Will Martyr, born 1980, currently lives and works in London. He is a Graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art (BA), The Royal College of Art (MA) and is currently working with Architectural Association in London in the Interdisciplinary studio. This diverse team of Artist, Engineers, Designers and Curators are working on a number of experimental architectural projects throughout Europe in 2009.
Martyr has exhibited numerously, including the India Art Summit, Delhi and ‘7 Wonders of Ancient World’ Calcutta in India. His work is in the collections of many corporations such as ‘The Prudential’, ‘ABN AMRO’, Aon Consulting, Equity Group and the Chelsea Arts Club Trust.
Ultimately Will Martyr aims to make work that will reflect the speed, lust and the glorification of burgeoning cities and explore how such forces conflict with the choices, decisions and aspirations of a democratic free society.
